Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Program

Consejo SUD Programs promote wellness and recovery in every aspect of our client’s lives. SUD is a prevalent condition that can have devastating health, family, employment, legal and social consequences. Although not often diagnosed or treated, the disease poses serious physical and behavioral health risks.

A person suffering from SUD may experience the following symptoms or behaviors:

· Withdrawal when not consuming
· Consuming greater quantities of Alcohol or drugs to achieve same level of effects as before
· Decrease in motivation for important career, social, and family relationships;
· A lack of control and inability to stop consuming even when health, work, and friends or family are affected.
· Absenteeism, presenteeism, and poor spending habits that negatively impact the finances of individuals and families.
· Users cannot stop, regardless of persistent physical or psychological problems
· Users minimize or completely deny the amount they are using or the consistency of their problem;
· Negatively affected daily routines
· Negative impacts on emotional, behavioral, or cognitive functioning
· Aggression may be used when confronted with their substance use dependence;
· Compulsive behaviors.
· Users justify and rationalize their destructive choices, despite consumers best efforts
· Increased likelihood of high-risk situations while under the influence, which may include drinking and driving, unprotected sex, or initiating family or community violence.
